OUR PROGRAMS

Our CURRICULUM

CUMC Preschool uses The Creative Curriculum to plan and structure its programming across age groups. This research-based curriculum is comprehensive and addresses the whole child. It prepares children developmentally for academic rigor and creates a love of learning while supporting social-emotional development. Our days are so busy and fun, learning happens naturally and individual progress throughout the school year is remarkable! CUMC Preschool students are impressively prepared for Kindergarten and beyond!.

Before & After Care

To better serve the needs of our families, CUMC Preschool offers both before and after care! Our Before Care will allow you to drop you child up to an hour early. The children will participate in some morning enrichment activities, story time and free play as they wait for their friends to arrive. After Care options are from 1:15-3:15pm or from 1:15-5pm and will consist of enrichment activities that support and expand the morning curriculum. We have a great time and hope your child can join us!

ENRICHMENT

In addition to daily curricular activities, we have many special events throughout the year. Past years have included Career Day, Donuts at Drop-off, Muffins in the Morning, making gingerbread houses, music performances, Mothers Day Tea, petting zoos, visits from the fire department and many more! We also hold a Christmas and Spring Sing concert for family and friends,

CHAPEL TIME

Beginning in October, the children will attend Chapel in the Church sanctuary twice a month. Children sing songs and listen to Bible stories. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend as well! Chapel dates will be shared at the beginning of each month in our newsletter.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

We love to involve the children in community service projects throughout the year. Teaching them to care for others is as important to us as the lessons that teach them the ABC’s and the 123’s! Past projects have included pajama drives for children in homeless shelters, towel drives for the local animal shelter, letters to those in military service, and valentine themed placemats for a local nursing home.
